RUNNIN' follows the journey of Van Walker from the time of Thurgood Marshall to the time of Freddie Gray. Van's a hardworking, devoted, loyal husband and father who loves his wife, Lucille. A good man who often faces bad times. Through it all, Van fights to keep the bond with his family, friends, neighbors and especially his wife Lucille. RUNNIN' is a play set to music and filled with dance, but with a twist. Laugh, cry, shout, sing and dance as you reminisce on yesteryear's Baltimore and embrace today's.
RUNNIN' is energetic, touching, creative and fun as seen through the eyes of the audience. A must see.
A portion of the proceeds from RUNNIN' to benefit Hope4Baltimore which provides book scholarships to graduates of Baltimore City Public Schools attending college.
