Rat City Rollergirls HomeTeams for the Holidays

Season 11 is just around the corner, and what better way to spend the holidays than with our other family: Roller Derby. The Rat City Rollergirls present HomeTeams for the Holidays, our pre-season mini-tournament to whet your appetite and release our aggressions in this most wonderful time of year.

Our Home Teams of the Sockit Wenches, Derby Liberation Front, Grave Danger, and the Throttle Rockets have put in months of training leading up to our season, but they will be putting on holiday sweaters and wearing seasonal themes for this this Winter Wonderslam.

You'd think the sugary sweetness of The Nutcrackers would lure E.L.F. to the track, but the first 30 minutes pit these two teams head to head. Next, Your Worst Nightmare...Before Christmas will attempt to pull a ringer on the Jingle Bell Rockets.

For those teams who felt the scoreboard looked like a stocking full of coal, they'll have a second chance at victory in a 30 minute grudge match. Last but not least, the night will culminate with the top two teams battling it out for the most coveted gift of all -- the Tickle-Me-Elmo of 2014 -- Bragging Rights leading in to Season 11.

Wear your favorite holiday sweater and snuggle up with blankets and hot cocoa at the Rat's Nest in Shoreline. Seating is limited, byo chairs is welcome, and tickets are only $15.
