Halloween Salsa Dance Party!

Dance away the night on Halloween with local salsa band The Latin Peppers at the Arcata Playhouse. They will be joined by Southern Humboldt's Planet Four and the evening will include special dance lessons with Diane Weiss.
The Latin Peppers play hot Latin dance music and Latin jazz. They have been frequently featured at the Arcata Farmer's Market as well as recent performances at the Arcata I-Block Party, a sold out show at the Fortuna Concert Series and other venues in Southern Humboldt. Dr D.J. has called the Peppers "Excellent! The best Latin band from Marin to Portland." The group is led by Jimmy Durchslag on trombone and includes Orlando Morales on timbales, Jon Lewis on congas, Andy Barnett on trumpet, Tim Randles on piano and Lee Phillips on bass.
Halloween at the Playhouse lifts off with Planet 4.Vocalist Beth Wells steps out backed by Andy Barnett (keys and trumpet), Peter Weissman (bass), Orlando Morales (percussion), and special guest Jimmy D (trombone). Planet 4 brings many elements into their musical multi-verse including original funk and world music grooves, a snappy delivery, and jazzy trajectory that's simply out of this world.
