Walking the Songlines of the Soul: Reflections on a Pilgrimage on the Santiago de Compostella in France

Emboldened by my experiences of crop circles but overwhelmed by the magnitude of our environmental crisis, I undertook something on a smaller and more human scale. Living at the foot of Mt. Ste. Victoire near Aix during the summer of 2013, I decided to make a pilgrimage on part of the Camino de Santiago in France. My talk, accompanied by images of the landscapes and sacred sites I visited, offers reflections on this inner journey in the outer world. Grounding my presentation in Jung's studies on synchronicity that open the door to the subtle world, I show how such contemplative journeys re-awaken us to the living spirit of nature and our broader connection to the cosmos

Saturday Afternoon Workshop: After Veronica's talk, participants will be invited to spend some time alone reflecting on their own experiences of inner journeys in the outer world in relationship to the speakers' lectures. We will then gather together, and Robert and Veronica will host a telling of stories, and facilitate a conversation on the mysteries of the relationship of psyche and nature.

About the speakers:

Veronice Goodchild, PhD, has been a student of C.G. Jung's for over 40 years. She has practiced as a Jungian psychotherapist for over 30 years, and is an Affiliate Member of teh Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts. Veronice is Core Faculty at Pacifica Graduate Institute where she has been teaching Jungian and Imaginal Psychology, Depth Psychology and Alchemy, The Grail Myth, Soulful Research, and Mentoring doctoral students since 1999.

Robert Romanyshyn, Ph.D., is an Affiliate Member of the
Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts and a Senior Core Faculty Member in the Clinical and Depth Psychotherapy Programs at Pacifica Graduate Institute. He has authored six books, has contributed chapters to numerous edited volumes, and published essays and reviews in many professional journals. In addition to lectures and workshops presented in the U.S., he has taught and lectured in Europe, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and parts of Africa.
