Monsters, Merkins, and Mayhem

October is the season of All Hallows' Eve. The nights grow longer and leaves change color and fall from the branches onto the ground. It's that time of year when we celebrate the macabre and the dark under the full moon. On the last Saturday of October join Purple Devil Productions for a celebration of the monstrous and frightening.

"Monsters have fascinated me since I was young," said creator Violet DeVille. "While the other girls were playing with dolls and learning the basics of day-to-day makeup, I was in the kitchen pouring plaster molds and painting foam latex pulled hot from my mom's oven. Over all I think monsters and horror stories gives us a way to confront our fears in a positive way that we can control."

Monsters, Merkins, and Mayhem is October 26th at the Re-Bar located at 1114th Howell St. in Seattle. The doors open at 6:30 pm and the show begins at 7:30 pm. Mister Bawdy is our Master of Ceremony with Scarlett O'Hairdye, Miss Violet DeVille, Artemis Lark, and Maggie McMuffin.
