Story Camp with the Pros: David Crabb
STORY LEAGUE MEMBERS SAVE $10. JOIN US HERE.

You will learn about story structure, raising stakes, scene and summary, major and minor themes, characterization, and significant details. This will be the toolbox you can use to transform your personal true story into an engaging and authentic onstage comedic-storytelling performance. Hour 1 will be a seminar-style presentation by the great David Crabb, and Hour 2 will be in-depth questions and answers from you to him.

BRUNCH IS OPTIONAL, AND IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE CAMP FEE.

ABOUT YOUR CAMP LEADER:

DAVID CRABB is a storyteller based in New York City. He teaches storytelling and performance at The People's Improv Theatre (PIT), Kevin Allison's (RISK!) The Story Studio, and Manhattan Comedy School. He has also coached and/or lectured on storytelling at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, The Moth's High School Slam program, and the Writers Guild. David has also directed shows at The PIT and Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. He hosts shows regularly for Story League in DC and The Moth in NYC, and has appeared on the Moth Mainstage in several cities. He is the co-creator/producer of the live storytelling series ASK ME at Axis Company Theatre, and he is a sought-after performer in all the top storytelling shows in New York. His solo story show BAD KID recently had a two-night sold-out engagement at Artisphere in Arlington, and was a New York Times Critic's Pick in its original run in NYC. The Wall Street Journal praised his ability to take an audience "from belly laughs to pin-drop silence," and The Advocate hailed the piece as "freakishly funny."
