Our first stop is Broadacres Nursery, which produces custom grafted, self-rooted and certified grape stock for vineyards and home gardens. Our trip is timed to take advantage of the annual grape tasting -- you will roam the rows of vines, snacking as you go. Finish with a list of the grapes you like best and head right to the sales table to purchase your favorites for your garden.
Then we'll stop at Al's Garden Center, a 3rd generation family-owned retail nursery, rated "Best in the Mid-Valley" in 2012. With a retail area covering six acres, Al's sells plants, gift items, garden tools and supplies, compost and bark -- something for everyone.
As we head home, we'll stop at Little Prince of Oregon, a wholesale grower of perennials, ground covers, NW natives, succulents, herbs, ornamental grasses, and rare and unusual plants.
They sell under several brands you've probably
seen: Stepables, Ground Control, Native
Ground, Water Misers, Fit For A King, and and others.
Vans depart at 8:30 sharp. Dress for the weather and bring water.
