About Les Paul's Trio:
Nicki Parrott was Les Paul's bassist and vocalist for over 10 years and has since been a regular member of the legendary Les Paul's Trio. In addition to performing at most of the world's top jazz festivals, Nicki has performed with such jazz greats as Randy Brecker, Clark Terry, Jose Feliciano, Rebecca Paris, Bucky Pizzarelli, John Pizzarelli, Dick Hyman, Patti Labelle & the New York Pops Orchestra, Harry Allen, Michel Legrand, Marlena Shaw, Mike Stern, David Krakauer, Ken Peplowski, Ann Hampton Callaway, Scott Hamilton, Larry Carlton and Frank Vignola, to name a few. Lou Pallo was a member of various groups including The Cashmeres, Pat Galo and The Hi-Lads and The Axcents and also performed or recorded with Sammy Davis, Jr., The Platters, The Four Seasons and other high profile artists before meeting Les Paul in 1963. In 1984 he co-founded the Les Paul Trio with the great man himself, and they took their show to NYC, working every Monday night at Fat Tuesday's night club. Twelve years later, the weekly performances moved to the Iridium Jazz Club. Through the years, the Trio was also highlighted at notable venues including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the House of Blues. Lou Pallo remained the only constant in Les Paul's Trio up until Les passed away in 2009.
John Colianni is the pianist with the Les Paul Trio. Les added John to his group in 2003, on the recommendation of fellow guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli. John performed as Mel Torme's pianist from 1991 to 1995 and recorded six records with the great artist. John currently also performs with his own group, the John Colianni Quintet, in New York clubs, as well as on the road and overseas. John's group was the house band on the MSNBC television program "After Hours with Dan Abrams", for that show's final season.
Bucky Pizzarelli's career spans over 60 years from the Vaughn Monroe Orchestra, to the Johnny Carson Tonight Show. Hundreds of jazz concerts worldwide, including White House performances with Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, and Claude "Fiddler" Williams, with Presidents Reagan and Clinton add to the list. Last year, Bucky became one of the very first musicians in New Jersey to have two of his guitars, along with a recorded history of his lifetime in music, inducted into the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC. He serves on the faculty of William Paterson University, in Wayne, NJ and continues to give back to his community with various performances throughout the state.
