SuGO Robotics Workshop

The Horizons 4-H Club is offering a SuGO robotics workshop. The adults involved in teaching the workshops are certified 4-H Volunteers.

Maximum number of participants: 16
Ages: 10 to 15 years old
Food: Please bring a snack and drink

In this workshop you will build a SuGO Battle Bot using supplied LEGO Mindstorms NXT kits with special SuGO add ons including the option to add a third motor. What is SuGO? It combines the fun of LEGO Mindstorm NXT robots with Sumo wrestling.

You will spend 2.5 hours working in teams strategizing and building your battle bot. It will then be time to hit the competition ring. Parents are welcome to return for the tournament to cheer the teams on.

Note: No programming is necessary but LEGO Mindstorms NXT building experience is a plus. For those new to Mindstorms we can provide step by step building instructions.

9:15 - 10:45: Building Bots
10:45 - 11:00: Snack break
11:00 - 12:00: Finish building bots
12:00 - 12:45: SuGO Tournament
12:45 - 1:00: Clean up and goodbye
