San Francisco Mime Troupes Too Big to Fail

Arena Theater celebrates the Tony Award-winning San Francisco Mime Troupes 50th Anniversary season on Thursday August 13, 2009 with an event to jointly benefit the Mime Troupe and Arena Theater. The performance of this seasons song and dance satire, TOO BIG TO FAIL, will be accompanied by food, cocktails, and a raffle which will include San Francisco Mime Troupe merchandise and Arena Theater memorabilia.
The Mime Troupe creates plays that make sense out of the headlines with close-up stories that make audiences feel the impact of political events on their personal lives. The performance will begin at 7:30 PM with a 30 minute music set. The show begins at 8:00 PM. Doors will open at 6:30 PM for a complimentary finger food buffet and no host cocktails.
In San Francisco Mime Troupes Too Big to Fail, Wilma Bonet directs Velina Brown (Veronique of the Mounties, Red State), BW Gonzalez (Seeing Double), Ed Holmes (Seeing Double, Making a Killing), Lisa Hori-Garcia (GodFellas, Red State), Adrian Mejia (Red State), and Michael Gene Sullivan (GodFellas, Making a Killing) in this odyssey through the twists and turns of banking bureaucracy and international finance. Too Big to Fail, written by Michael Gene Sullivan and Ellen Callas, features a live band under the direction of Pat Moran (music and lyrics).
