Plaza Live presents MAX BROD & THE KIND
Some of the most powerful "Texas rhythm and blues rock" out there today features Wharton's own Max Brod and The Kind.
The Kind is
Barry Swain, songwriter and guitar slinger from El Dorado, Arkansas, who plays with mesmerizing intensity. He has recorded and toured with Derrick and the Dominoes, fronted for Bobby Whitlock, and toured with Buddy Miles, formerly of the Jimi Hendrix Band of Gypsies.
Tommy Davis, whose bass and vocals come straight out of the Mississippi Delta, has toured throughout the United States with many different bands.
Max Brod, a songwriter and vocalist with a powerhouse sweat-slinging style, provides the hard-driving Texas beat.
Evan Leake from Memphis Tennessee, lights the night on fire on slide guitar and vocals, He has toured with Bobby Whitlock of Derrick and the Dominoes and many other bands.
