Poets Liberation Front: Lola Olufemi, Liv Wynter & Shareefa Energy
Lola Olufemi, Liv Wynter and Shareefa Energy will be leading the discussion with poems that reflect on the writers role in revolutions.
From the EZLN guerilla fighters of Nicaragua who were led in battle by poets, to Ghassan Kanafani writing innovative prose with one hand and the PFLP strategy handbook with the other; literature has historically done bits for the rebel frontline.
The three guests for this months salon all concretely organise against oppression in the heart of Empire while simultaneously producing revolutionary cultural works.
The salon is a space to actively engage in current resistance literature emerging from our political landscape. Tickets are on a sliding scale solidarity rate, please pay honestly.
This event is produced by lisa minerva luxx and Shubbak Festival
