BEYOND GHOSTS: Paranormal Lockdown at the Old Licking County Jail

May 10th, 2014 - Come join us for a Haunting Evening at the Old Licking County Jail! Saturday, May 10, 2014. 8pm - 2am. Interested in Paranormal Exploration? Are you a fan of Ghost Adventures or Ghost Hunters? If so, do we have a great event for you! Join members of both the Greater Western New York Paranormal Society and the United Paranormal Project as they explore the haunted history of Newark, Ohio at the infamous former Licking County Jail! The jail was in operation from 1889 until 1987, and consists of four floors and a basement. Small town America is often a hotbed of paranormal activity, and this location is reported to be on fire! Over the years there has been a number of deaths in the old jail, as well as a few surprisingly violent disturbances which may shock you. Evidence collected on scene includes EVPS, photographs of anomalies, and even video of what many consider to be ghosts! Your night will consist of a briefing on prior experiences and evidence captured at the location over the years. In addition, an exclusive tour of the jail, Q&A with investigators who have researched the location, and a chance to explore the old Licking County Jail for yourself is included! This is no haunted attraction, the location in question has been verified as being "Haunted," and is believed to be so by hundreds of people, many of whom have encountered paranormal phenomena on the premises (and more than once!). Tickets are $30 each and are being offered on a limited basis. This event helps to support the restoration and upkeep of the old Licking County Jail. The Old Licking County Jail is located at 46 South 3rd Street Newark, Ohio 43055.
