(Where Are You Going?) depicts a dreamlike passage of a woman woth garments bearing the silhouettes of people and the elements of the world she traverses, which appears in constant chaos and disarray while she walks steady and calm. Inspired by depictions of the Virgin of Mercy sheltering a group of people under her outspread cloak, especially popular in Italy from the 13th to 16th centuries.
