Women Directors

The Women Directors showcase female-driven narratives and talent. This program includes the Mexican short film 52 Minutes and the Chilean feature film Outsider Girls, highlighting diverse and powerful stories directed by a couple of young Latin American women filmmakers.

Synopsis: Rafaela (20) and Gabriela (21) are best friends, inseparable in every way. Rafa's unexpected pregnancy threatens the pink and extravagant oasis they have created together. Although abortion is illegal in Chile, it is not impossible. Together, they must navigate the hostility of the system to undergo the procedure without shattering their precious bubble or their relationship.
