With ski season less than five months away, getting the mountain ready for an epic winter is a community effort! Each year, the skiers and snowboarders at Mt. Spokane reap the benefits of the hard work put in by our volunteer brushcutters. We are assembling our team for two weekends of mountain work, September 7-8 & September 14-15. This season, we have 35 coveted spots for crew members who are available to join us on BOTH weekends. Crew members will be chosen through a lottery process. Volunteers who commit to 40 hours of brush-cutting will earn an Adult 24-25 Winter Season Pass. We've got the tools. You bring the muscle.
Requirements: -18 Years & Older -Hiking/Working Boots/Proper work clothing -Capable of physical labor for (4) 10-hr shifts -Must be available BOTH scheduled weekends. -Dependable, great attitude, and willing to work hard.
Crew Selection Process: -We will only take (35) volunteers. Volunteers must follow the lottery process. -Volunteer lottery opens at midnight (12am), August 1. -Set your alarm for midnight and be the first to sign-up. We will only accept 35 registrations. The first 35 registered will be granted space on the brushcutting crew.
During the first week of August, after registering, you will be notified with details. If registration is full, it means we've already received our 35 candidates. Questions? Send a message or email guestservices@mtspokane.com
