Comedy Benefit for Emma McDonald
Join The Laughter Saves Lives Foundation for a night of Comedy Starring Home Shopping Network Host and National Headliner Rhonda Shear, all to benefit Emma McDonald.
Emma is a bright and beautiful 16 year old from Casselberry, FL. On August 16th 2013 Emma and her family were informed that she had a boney mass on her left distal femur. Emma was sent for her first MRI ever to give a more accurate picture of the mass. On August 21 Emma and her family received the news that Emma had Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and that they would need to report to the 2nd floor Hematology/Oncology at Arnold Palmer Hospital to meet with an Oncologist. On August 23 the family met with Emma's surgeon at Arnold Palmer and then headed to All Children's Hospital for a biopsy to get a final confirmation and type specific. The biopsy was completed and confirmed what they had all been preparing for. Emma not only had Osteosarcoma but her tumor contained osteoblastic, chondroblastic and fibroblastic subtypes.
