SEATTLE CABARET FESTIVAL PRESENTS:
KIM MAGUIRE in "HELLO GORGEOUS: BEYOND THE MIRROR"
Kim reflects on how a four-decade life in the theatre pulled her away from herself, and how she got herself back. Singing hot swing and heart-melting ballads from the Great American Songbook, Kim shares how she discovered the art of landing on her feet, while wearing heels.
ABOUT KIM MAGUIRE
For over four decades, Kim Maguire has made her mark as a performer, educator, director, and producer. A 2017 Seattle/Kobe Female Jazz Vocalist finalist, Kim is a mainstay in Seattle's vocal jazz scene. Her signature style draws inspiration from the timeless swing era of the 1940s and '50s, known for its rhythmic depth and beautifully crafted torch songs. Described as a "stunning singer" with an authentic and joyful presence, Kim's style is characterized by her theatrical presence, technical skill, and a silky-smooth vocal texture. Kim is an advocate for the promotion and preservation of The American Songbook repertoire and a mentor to many young musicians.

What is this world, anyway? Come share a slice of time with John Allman through songs - originals and covers - and soothe your soul with John's cool voice, hot piano sound, and enchanting vibe. We'll swing it, rock it, and love each moment we're together.
ABOUT JOHN ALLMAN
John Allman has performed his own songs at venues including the Village Gate in New York City, the Calico Café in Santa Fe, and Redmond Pride 2023. As a composer, lyricist and librettist, John's stage works have been seen in Seattle, Santa Fe and NYC. Last year John produced a staged reading of his musical THE MIRACLE OF THE SALT, songs from which have been presented at Aspire Kinetic Arts' inaugural Creator's Series and the launch concert for Gaisma Theatre Group; he recently collaborated on the new musical FUR PAJAMAS. John's fifth musical for children, BEE PRESENT, debuts at SecondStory Repertory in May.
Showtime: 9:00 PM. Doors open at 8:30.
