Tamir Hendelman solo piano concert- with Rhapsody in Blue for two (with Morgan Jones)
Jazz pianist Tamir Hendelman will perform a concert of solo piano music
ranging from standards to blues and Brazilian- as well as a
special two-piano performance of Rhapsody in Blue, with special guest Morgan Jones.
The venue is the piano performance space housed at Keyboard Concepts in Sherman Oaks,
and the instruments featured are Yamaha's beautifully redesigned grand pianos, the C7X and C6X.
Award-winning pianist Tamir Hendelman has performed with his
own trio, the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, the Jeff Hamilton Trio-
and a host of artists including Barbra Streisand, Natalie Cole, James
Moody and many more. Known for his lyrical approach, love of swing and
inventive arrangements, this will be a special opportunity for him to present
an intimate afternoon concert featuring a two-piano version of Rhapsody in Blue
ahead of his May orchestral performance with the Winston-Salem Orchestra.
Parking is free and light refreshments will be served.
