New Black Eagle Jazz Band

The New Black Eagle Jazz Band has delighted audiences worldwide for over fifty years, with its infectious, soulful, and high energy style of traditional New Orleans jazz. Paying homage to the greatest musicians of the early jazz era- Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, Duke Ellington -the band has also developed its own eclectic sound, incorporating spirituals, 1920s and 30s popular music and even some recorded by Elvis and Bob Dylan!

Featured in renowned jazz festivals, including Newport, Kool, Tanglewood, Edinburgh, and New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festivals. The band has appeared in concert with symphony orchestras, including the Scottish National Symphony and the Boston Pops.

With a Grammy nomination and over forty recordings, a vast repertoire, seven inspired musicians, and their sparkling stage presence, the New York Times has noted that the Black Eagles are So far ahead of other traditional bandsthere is scarcely any basis for comparison.
