IT'S ORCA RECOVERY DAY!
Join us as we restore critical habitat for salmon (the Orcas primary food source) at Nick's Lagoon.
Kitsap Conservation District is partnering with the Friends of Nicks Lagoon to educate through action on Orca Recovery. Come join us for invasive weed removal in scenic Nick's Lagoon. Everyone can do something to help save orcas, one of the most iconic species of the Pacific Northwest.
This event is FREE. RSVP using Brown Paper Tickets.
PARKING IS LIMITED. PLEASE CARPOOL.
Volunteer work will include using a tool like a shovel to grub out blackberry root balls and or install native plants. Please bring a pair of work gloves and your own snacks and water. We will provide the tools. We hope to see you there!
