Come 'on! We're going to Fishers Island to see the new shows.
We'll be visiting the Henry L. Ferguson Museum to see this year's Annual Exhibition, 'The Sketchbooks of Charlie Ferguson', complemented by two special exhibitions: 'Early Paintings of Fishers Island' and 'Early Photographs of Fishers Island'. The Henry L. Ferguson Museum invites visitors to learn more about the Prehistory, History and Natural History of Fishers Island and its protected lands.
We're going Thursday, August 3 -- taking the ferry, seeing the shows, stopping for lunch, then toodling around the island. Lunch is provided! Sign up today.
Times listed will be adjusted to the ferry timetable. Trips leave from the Fishers Island ferry terminal on the New London waterfront, within steps of the NL Amtrak station. Each trip is limited to 12 attendees. $70, $65 NLMS members.

The ferry LEAVES NL at 10 AM.
The return ferry leaves from Fishers Island at 3:15 PM and travel time is 45 minutes, so you should plan on arriving back in New London at 4.
We meet at 9:30 in front of the entrance to the Fishers Island ferry terminal in New London. The ferry is on Waterfront Park (1 State Street), behind the New London Amtrak station and to the right on the dock.
You may park for free alongside the Custom House (150 Bank Street) in the alley facing the old (now vacant) Salvation Army. PLEASE LEAVE AMPLE TIME TO WALK TO THE FERRY -- the boat leaves promptly at 10.
