Peter Case House Concert

Acclaimed singer/songwriter PETER CASE returns to the intimate confines of Roots Hoot House Concerts on Friday, September 8. Doors will open at 7 pm and show time is 7:30. Do not miss out! Note that this is a BYOB-only show.

About Peter:
The subject of a brand new film documentary called "Million Miles Away," three-time Grammy nominee, Peter Cases work sets the bar for authenticity, passion and imagination and spans a number of genres, including folk, blues, and rock. Raised in Buffalo, NY, Case came to the Bay area in 1973 and worked as a street musician and played in the seminal power pop group The Nerves, before moving to Los Angeles to form the Plimsouls, landing a deal with Geffen Records.The Plimsouls achieved success with the hit single A Million Miles Away, which landed them a role in the movie Valley Girl, as the band performing during the club scenes. Cases 1986 solo Geffen Record debut revealed deep roots in folk and blues, and earned him his first Grammy nomination for the song Old Blue Car as well as the Number 1 spot on the NY Times 1986 Best CDs list. Six CDs later, Case earned another nomination for Let Us Now Praise Sleepy John, a remarkable collection of songs that features Cases voice and a single guitar. Its clear that Case is a major talent on the Americana troubadour landscape.

Peter's latest album released earlier tin 2023 is called Dr. Moan. Mojo Magazine says about Dr. Moan: "One of the great US songwriters11 new originals several of them are among his best,Case knows that his songs doesn't need perfume and a clean suit.

It is Case's 16th solo album and finds him channeling the spirits of jazz, blues, and boogie-woogie into exquisitely nuanced expressions. See and hear for yourself on September 8!
