Sanctum
As the high moon approaches full, and the time of the grain harvest nears, we gather for the ancient rite: We dance together with the summer moon. The elemental glow of the first fire flaming sacred in our hearts. With our feet, let us stomp and pray until we paint living stars across the ceiling. Let's raise our arms skyward, like giant cedars, opening to greet the great mystery.
Now and ever be the time. We stretch the cord upon this pulsing temple anew, above and below, alongside the ancestors, well and wise, and our friends, old and new. Communing in the wild abandon of sacred intentional dance is our heritage and our shared dream.

Enter into a rite of movement, exploration and connection.
Inside a temple the inner sanctum is a held space within the broader space. A room to hold energetic intention and sacred objects. In the body the inner sanctum is the heart, the center of love, the beating pulse of life itself.
Sanctum, as we mean it, is an immersive dance experience. We welcome expression of your most high intentions and your sacred wild selves. On this night, for this organic ritual, let the music be the pulsing heart of the communal body and let love be the law. An experiment in movement and soft edges. No dogma.

SANCTUM is a seasonal event that we are hosting with our partners at Soft Medicine. Every event in the cycle will be curated with consideration for the moment, season and lunar station. Music, vibe, the whole thing. This inaugural summer edition recognizes Lamas, the cross quarter mark between solstice and equinox. A time of growth and of early harvest. A time to take stock, but also a time to move and make moves. And being the feral feline lunatics that we are, we are so pleased to celebrate the full moon of midsummer. The Adventure Moon. The Love Moon.
We hope you will feel the love. May this be the beginning of a great adventure.
The Lineup:
Soft Medicine's musical curator ZAPHOD will bring us home, with an attuned integration of cross-cultural poly-rhythms and tasteful, sultry bass.
For their Sebastapol debut AAZAV will be performing a live set of all original material. Kai Altair's stirring vocals will draw down the moon, and Haj i Ji will raise up the vibe with love and beats.
HAJ says he has only 'the best of bass intentions'. A journey across genre and tempo HAJ brings a unique spin on global dance culture, serving it up sexy and bouncy for the people who love to dance.
Special guests
VACHU ADU from Tuscon, Az will be opening and closing the evening with beautiful soul soothing multi-instrumental sound journeys that are not to be missed.
The doors open and music begins at 8pm. We invite you to arrive as the doors open so that we can experience the full arc of the journey together. Though the event goes until midnight the doors will close at 9.30 to new arrivals. No new participants will be admitted after that time. Our intention in doing this is to foster a cohesive co-creation between everyone present.
**We encourage everyone to trust the essential medicine that resides within our bodies and to know that our perceptions can be greatly enhanced and awakened through conscious dance. As a community we practice the simple principles of consent, embodiment, free expression, inclusion and sobriety.**
Kava and cacao elixirs will be served at the downstairs bar until 10pm.
