EPAD Workshop - Fringe Press and PR for the self-producing artist and independent producers
With Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2023 around the corner and many of the EPAD network self-producing shows, we are offering a short workshop to support you to undertake and maximise press and PR in August.
Helen Eragona of Eragona Communications who has been providing marketing and communications services to clients within the performing and sector since 2016 will lead the three-hour session, that will cover:
Setting a press goal
Researching and engaging with journalists
Writing a press release
Strong production imagery
Understanding optimal timelines for sending press releases
How to make the most of the press you receive.
The main outcome from the session is enabling participants to have started to write a press release.
Helen specialises in digital marketing, social media strategy, website management, content creation and design, as well as managing full marketing and press campaigns for tours, festivals and companies. Recent collaborators include Catherine Wheels Theatre Company, Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh, Craft Scotland, Federation of Scottish Theatre and DARKFIELD.
