Ladies, Lunch, and Literacy Welcomes Nickolas Butler and Tarashea Nesbit

Our first Ladies, Lunch, and Literacy event of 2014 (beginning our 7th year!), is definitely not-for-women-only. We will introduce you to two debut authors who will appeal to many different types of readers.

To honor this double delight, we are going to have our first ever LLL Wine Tasting and Mixer at Cork'er, the new café inside the Mysterious Galaxy building.

Shotgun Lovesongs by Nickolas Butler is a beautifully written love letter to small town life and life-long friendships. You will be enchanted by this story of five friends from Little Wing, Wisconsin.

The Wives of Los Alamos is a stunning portrayal of women, their hopes, fears, despairs, and innermost thoughts in the midst of a historical event so clandestine and so devastating that we still consider the implications today. Nesbit's original fictional collective account of the wives who followed their husbands to this remote area for a project they were not privy to will captivate you.
