The 3rd Annual Chicago Ultimate Tournament
The environmental non-profit sustainable landscaping initiative Midwest Grows Green and Illinois Ultimate invites you to this recreational ultimate tournament from August 26-27, 2023. Here are the details:
-We reserved four fields at the Ned Brown Meadow in Busse Woods, Rolling Meadows.
-Games start 9 am and run until 5 pm each day.
-Fee is $45 plus service fee. Registration ends on Sunday, August 20th at Midnight.
-Registration guarantees six games, water from Boxed Water is Better, energy drinks from Celsius and snacks from Big Fork Brands, Fruitful Yield and Nature's Path Organic. Players over 21 will have access to select adult beverages from Pabst Blue Ribbon, Heartland Beverage and Athletic Brewing Company.
Format:
-Will have 8-10 teams.
-6 v 6, Coed, 4:2 ratio (ratio is subject to change)
-3 games each day, pool play on August 26, knock-out tournament on August 27.
-Games to 15, hard-cap at one hour and 15 minutes.
-Can either sign-up as a team or a free agent.
-Teams must provide the organizer a roster with max 12 players. Team rosters need a minimum of four woman-matching players. Additional players above the 12 cap will need to pay the free agent fee, but can still be assigned to their desired team.
-Free agents will be entered into a hat.
-Captains must provide Ryan Anderson (randerson@ipminstitute.org) with a roster two weeks before. Individuals on teams that want lunch or goodie bags, must go through the registration page themselves and select "Lunch" and/or "Goodie Bags".
-Themed uniforms, spirit points and cheers are highly encouraged. Bring a black and white shirt if your team does not have a themed uniform.
Other Details:
-Lunch will be provided both days to those that pay an extra $30 fee. Saturday lunch will come from Franco's Cucina. Sunday will be Giordano's Pizza.
-You can purchase a Patagonia goodie bag for $20 + service fee that will include a custom tourney disc from Aria.
-All proceeds go to Midwest Grows Green that helps parks across the Chicago area and the Midwest eliminate synthetic pesticide and fertilizer use.
-After-party will be at Real Time Sports in Elk Grove Village on Saturday, August 26th. Lodging discounts are available from Country Inn & Suites Elk Grove Village at https://bit.ly/MGGTourneyHotel23.

Refund policy: This year, we are processing registrations solely through PayPal. In total, PayPal and Brown Paper Tickets takes about 15-20% of your registration fee (i.e. the processing fee). Please note, that we will not be able to refund your total registration fee this year if you need to cancel. We will refund the portion of your fee that went to Midwest Grows Green, but not the processing fee that went to PayPal and Brown Paper Tickets. Thank you for understanding.
