Fools: A Comic Fable at Deerfield Academy
In the depths of a long, dark winter, don't we all need to enjoy a little chuckle here and a rib-tickle there? Fools by comedy king, Neil Simon, offers just that. In an idyllic European hamlet in the 1890s, the townsfolk have been cursed with chronic stupidity for over two hundred years. Our hero, Leon Tolchinsky, an earnest and bright young teacher, arrives to teach the town doctors daughter. When he falls in love with her, will there be enough time for him to break the curse before he too is struck dumb? Audiences are sure to enjoy a host of zany characters and some wild and hilarious antics. We look forward to seeing you there!
