TKstudios & Urban Entertainment Present: TK Crazy & Poontz LIVE at King Legend. September 23rd.
Come out to Caldwell, Idaho as two of Idaho's top hip hop artists take the King Legend stage to perform for their hometown fans!
Opening acts include Daddy GooGoo, Proph$t, Frisbi3, Trippy Cotton and more.
This is not just any concert, TK and DJ Urban have combined event styles, so the environment will change from concert to dance party in between every act. We will also be celebrating TK Crazy's birthday, which means free jell-o shots every time the DJ plays a TK track.
TK Crazy:
Born in San Angelo Texas, but raised in Idaho, TK Crazy is the coalesced personality that has emerged from his Depersonalization-derealization disorder. Witnessing extreme violence often at home as a child, those traumas forced TK split in to multiple versions of himself as a form of defense. Loving music his entire life, TK started rapping at the age of 15. Influenced heavily by battle rappers of the late 90s such as Eminem and Big L, TK began observing his competition in order to pick apart any weakness they may have and would freestyle battle any chance he could, even in the principles office. TK Crazy has incorporated his psychiatric condition into his music style, which makes him extremely versatile and adaptable to anything. TK has the ability to spit fast, chopper-style rhymes or slow it down and have a chill vibe, he can even sing a little bit, but don't tell anyone we said that. TK has often been compared to Eminem, Tech N9ne, and G-Eazy.
TK's content has something for everyone, from his hardcore debut song "Kill eM" where he addresses the state of the rap game, his club song "Tonight" empowering females who like to have fun with no judgement, to the family friendly Idaho anthem "Rep Yo State 208".
TK's produces his own music, which has an old school west coast style mashed with a southern-trap hi-hat laced swag. Getting his professional start on the Idaho Loves Afroman Tour in February of 2022, TK quickly gained a following as he performed at over 25 shows in Idaho, Utah, and Texas by the end of that summer.
Poontz:
Poontz, the Boise, Idaho rapper formerly known as OG, was born in Penjamo,
Guanajuato, Mexico. At the age of three, he immigrated to the United States on
his mothers back. Having grown up in and around gang life, he quickly started to see life from a different point of view and began to write about it. Music became his release. Having seen too many of his friends and family members succumb to the pitfalls of society, he decided to give hope and motivation to others through music. As reflected in Poontzs music, one message rings loud and clear: everyone is worthy of giving themselves more in life no matter where someone comes from, or what has happened to them. Poontz, who started his rap career at the age of 17, says that his main influences
are Chicano rappers like Mr. Shadow, Lil Rob, and Mr Lil One. He also states he
finds inspiration from other artists such as The Game and Dr. Dre because those were the rappers he was exposed to at a young age. In means of style, Poontz is known to bring a 90s west coast influence to his beats and a little bit of east coast in his flow. Some people have said he sounds like Mack 10, SPM, and Big Pun. Others say that he has the cadence and flow of Meek Mill and the love, pain, and heart of Memphis Bleek.
Poontz has shared the stage with artists like Mozzy, Mark Battles, and Young
Drummer Boy. He has headlined his own sold out shows in both Boise and Idaho Falls, including popular venues such as Treefort Music Festival, Jefito Hats Lowrider Car Show, and Day Ones Music Festival.
Poontz will be the first to say that being a rap artist in Boise isnt easy, but that is
not what he focuses on. Always leaning towards the positive, Poontz states he keeps his focus on what is possible.
