2022 Grand Victorian Homes Tour of Vallejo
One of Vallejos main attractions are the Grand Victorian Homes Tour, highlighting some of the finest homes built on the West Coast designated as Vallejos Architectural Heritage District that are of national significance. The reception for the Grand Homes Tour will be at the USA World Classic Car Museum with a buffet reception and greeted by the Mad Hatter Mascot & friends. Surrounded by classic Rolls and Bentleys as well as the Bat Mobile, where guests can enjoy themselves with some food, glass of wine and desserts while listening to live holiday music.

This year;s Tour will have ten homes in two Vallejo locations that will introduce the attendees to a Colonial Queen Anne, Shingle, Italianate, Craftsman, Spanish Revival, Mission Revival, as well as some surprise finds in unique neighborhoods. Vallejo has had many famous and infamous residents throughout the years -- actors Raymond Burr and Boris Karloff, star National League pitcher Tug McGraw and the Duchess of Windsor, Wallis Simpson, once married to an officer on Mare Island. Franklin D. Roosevelt and his wife Eleanor once attended a banquet at one of the elaborate Colonial Revival homes on Georgia Street in the designated Architectural District.

On the Tour many of the interesting stories about the houses' landowners and occupants from the 1800s will be revealed by the proprietors in residence. Two of the Grand Homes on Virginia Street will have a special guest acting as a docent, who had lived in the homes built by her grandfather in the early 1900s.

The 2:30  4:30 pm Reception for the Tour will be hosted by the USA World Classic Car Museum on 1521 Sonoma Boulevard in Vallejo. From the Reception to the self-guided Tour, it is a good ole fashion holiday taking guests through the Victorian era, people are warmly greeted by some hosts in period costumes, telling of the historical findings, and providing holiday delights or musical entertainment along the way, do not be surprised to hear holiday music being played on the piano in one of the festive grand homes all decked out in Victorian holiday splendor.

The Tour will end at Godfather Winery one of the Officers Mansions for the after party that begins at 6:00 pm. This will be an experience to cherish for years to come and a wonderful way to celebrate a Victorian holiday.

$35 Ticket includes:

Reception: 2:30-4:30pm at the USA World Classic Car Museum with live entertainment, food, wine, coffee & Tour Guide & Map provided.

Self-Guided Tours: 3-7pm

After Party: 6-8pm (though it often goes longer)
