GRAND OPENING OF PUNCHLINE COMEDY CLUB SEPTEMBER 15, 2022

STAND UP COMEDY comes to the historic BERNARDSVILLE CINEMA with the GRAND OPENING of the PUNCHLINE COMEDY CLUB on September 15, 2022, at 7:00 PM. Tickets are available here for $20 each.

Our premiere show will be a COMEDY CONTEST and the AUDIENCE will be the JUDGE, deciding the funniest comedians in Bernardsville. The top 3 comedians for the evening will be presented with financial awards and the opportunity for professional gigs on future shows.

The Iconic BERNARDSVILLE CINEMA was built in 1910 and first opened as a vaudeville theater. In 1920, silent films replaced the vaudeville acts, and in 1929, the era of "talkies" began. The theater has been in continuous operation since its opening, with little change to the exterior. In the 1990's the theater was converted to a triplex theater and in 2020 the 110-year-old theater celebrated its 100th anniversary as a continuously run motion picture theater. Today, it is a totally independent theater with no chain affiliation. The theater is available to the community as a rental space for special events and parties.
