Synopsis: "Music Dreams" is a dialogue-free animated short based on the true story of Lisa Jura, a young Holocaust survivor who, in 1938, escaped from Vienna to London on the Kindertransport. Set in 2021, "Music Dreams" centers on a lonely boy named Carlos and his brother; they too are refugees separated from their family. Lying awake at night, Carlos finds a piece of mysterious old sheet music that whisks him to late-1930s Europe, where he meets Lisa. Together, through music, Carlos and Lisa find resilience and stay connected to the families they had to leave behind.

The story captures the raw emotions of parenting without all the answers and the joy of childhood innocence. Its message encourages all of us to be intentional about the time that we have with our loved ones.
