Agile ASAP: The Agile Fundamentals (3/24/14)
Description: Complete experiential introduction to Agile with strong emphasis on iterative, incremental development using Scrum.
Objective: The course objective is to impart the essentials of authentic Agile and Scrum to each participant in the shortest amount of time, via active classroom participation in team exercises, such that each student is ready to bring Agile and Scrum knowledge and experience back to their real-world teams who are planning and building complex products.
Qualifications for Attendance: We expect you to have some knowledge and experience with the typical Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) . This is also known as the Waterfall Method. This model has the following activities: System/Information Engineering and Modeling, Software Requirement Analysis, System Analysis and Design, Code creation, Testing, and Maintenance. Some knowledge of Agile & Scrum is useful but not required.
Who Should Attend: Project sponsors, project managers, project leads, developers, users and testers . Middle managers get A LOT from this course because it is AUTHENTIC Agile and Scrum. As such, middle managers see what "doing Agile" or "adopting Scrum" really means. Adopting these methods enhances and increases the influence of the middle manager. There is nothing to fear from Agile and Scrum, as this class demonstrates. How much more productive and happy teams are when using Agile and the Scrum framework.

Anyone authorized by the event promoter to attend this event is subject to the following Ground Rules as a condition of attendance:
Tickets (for all events, regardless of ticket price) are transferable; if you cannot make it to the event you can send a friend in your place or attend a future event. No refunds. No audio or video recording permitted. Recording of video and/or audio is grounds for revoking your authorization to attend. You may take pictures. You are required to show up ready to have loads of FUN and engage in lots of LEARNING with lots of other very curious, fun-loving people. By purchasing a ticket and/or attending this meeting (hereafter the Event), you are explicitly authorizing us to capture pictures, video, and audio recordings of your image and voice and to use these recordings in promotion of our events. By purchasing a ticket and/or attending the Event, you are agreeing explicitly to indemnify and hold harmless the following parties from any and all claims, including but not limited to any loss, damage, or legal liability related to attendance: a) the venue provider, b) the event promoters, c) anyone and everyone else even remotely associated with the execution of the Event event in any way, whatsoever. The Event promoter reserves the right to refuse and/or revoke admittance to anyone at any time, subject only to refunding within 30 days any dollar price paid for said admittance.
