Playwrights Project partners with San Diego State University for their 10th season of collaboration. Featured scripts were written by playwrights in their Out of the Yard programs at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility and Centinela State Prison.

In-person at SDSU's Experimental Theatre: April 21-23 at 7:00pm
Streamed on Facebook Live: April 23 at 7:00pm (No reservations required!)

Each performance features 5 short plays performed by San Diego State University Theatre students, followed by a conversation with credible messengers, guests, and cast.

"Just the Two of Us" by Jesse Rinke
"Thumb Fighter" by Jonathan Allen Gamond
"Never Give Up" by Jose Alfredo Piña
"One is Too Many" by Rigoberto Ganceda

Admission is FREE: Reservations are required for in-person performances.

Playwrights Projects COVID-19 Safety Guidelines will be in effect:

In response to continuing concerns regarding COVID-19, we are implementing the following policies for in-person performances to ensure a safe theatre experience for all. We appreciate your understanding and compliance.

1. All attendees must either show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken in the prior 72 hours. -- Full vaccination implies that at least 14 days must have passed since receiving 2 doses of Moderna/Pfizer or 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
2. All attendees, regardless of vaccination status, must wear masks over their nose and mouth at all times while inside the theatre.
3. All food and drink must be consumed prior to entering the venue.
