Amy's just finished singing for her nana. She's waiting for her to say something. "Well I better put dinner in the oven so it's ready on time". Her nana walks out of the room. Amy is hurt and confused. She knows she's a good singer, she just graduated with an advanced degree in opera performance. But she wants to hear it from her nana. Her nana's the one in the family who had a singing career, but she gave it up to marry her grandfather and start a family. Is she jealous of Amy? Or protective? Amy is in a serious relationship and she wants to know from her nana if the decision she made was worth it, or if giving up a singing career is something you never really get over.

I wanted to be a veterinarian
The year is 2001 and Malcolm is a 30-year-old successful actor. His successes are the result of unabashed risk-taking. Today, he takes another bold risk by transitioning from unemployed Actor to Employment Program Representative with The Employment Development Department.
As he nervously approaches his new state office building he asks himself, how can a rebellious artist like me find happiness in working with this giant bureaucratic employer? Before he can come up with an answer though, he's face-to-face with his new office building, His new home away from home. It's a grey, one-story warehouse about a half-block long surrounded by a fence that says, keep out! The interior isn't any more inviting. Every door has a keypad lock and all the windows are sealed shut. The employees are referred to by their social security numbers and have to enter a code in their phones notifying management when they need to go to the restroom. Wait a minute! Is this the Employment Development Department or Alcatraz?

Although it had been fifty years since the murder trial ended Arbuckle's movie career, seven year old Scott knew better than to make excuses.
