Appearing LIVE @ The Harlem Flophouse
THE MILES LENNOX TRIO Miles Lennox, Jazz pianist/keyboardist and composer, hails from Sunrise, Florida. He began playing piano at the age of 7, studied at the Dillard Center for the Arts and the Manhattan School of Music. Lennox was the winner of the 2019 Essentially Ellington Big Band Composition Contest where his composition, Open Windows, was performed and recorded by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. is a 2018 and 2019 winner in YoungArts for Jazz Piano and Jazz Composition in 2019. He received an Outstanding Piano award in 2018 and 2019 in the Essentially Ellington Jazz Big Band Competition. Lennox was also a finalist in the 2018 Miami Downtown Jazz Piano Competition. Lennox recently released his debut album, Something to Say, which features 11 original compositions. Lennox has performed with artists such as Sean Jones, Kurt Elling, Jon Faddis, Vincent Gardner, Wynton Marsalis, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Wycliffe Gordon, Victor Goines, Nat Adderley Jr., Stefon Harris, amongst many others.
THIS IS AN IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE This intimate concert is presented by The Harlem Flophouse. The doors open at 7pm. Prior to it's start you will have an opportunity to converse and interact with the musicians. The music starts promptly at 7:30pm. There is a 15 minute break at 8:15pm. The concert ends at 9:05pm. The Harlem Flophouse has garnered an international reputation for its unique style and beauty. It was listed by the French travel guide Routard as one of the 50 "dream hotels" of the world, it was featured in The New York Times 36 hours in Harlem. It has been a photo shoot/interview location for artists such as Moby, Sharon Jones and Kamasi Washington as well as numerous fashion and film productions.
