Rockin for Rowan - EB Research Charity Concert feat. The Curtis J Social
The Foundry Art Centre is excited to announce their 2021 charity concert ROCKIN FOR ROWAN! Missouri native Curtis J returns for a night of raising awareness and funds to find a cure for Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). The evening will feature his band, The Curtis J Social, and other activities throughout the night to benefit the EB Research Partnership.
Known as the worst disease you've never heard of, EB is a rare genetic skin disorder characterized by blistering of the skin leading to severe pain, and internal and external wounds that may never heal. This charity is near to Curtis Js heart, as his former Kentucky Knife Fight bandmates daughter Rowan was born with this rare disease. Today, there are no treatments or cures available for EB. The science is ready to take on this challenge, and with your contributions, the EB Research Partnership is dedicated to finding a cure. If you cannot attend the concert, you can visit https://give.ebresearch.org/campaign/rockin-for-rowan/c368844 to donate to EB research directly.
Curtis J is an American musician, songwriter, and producer. He initially garnered acclaim as the fiery guitarist in the band Kentucky Knife Fight before migrating to New York City to form his own group. After successful US and European tours with the likes of Drive By Truckers, Old 97s, and Kenny Wayne Shepard, he developed into a polished solo performer à la Live at Sin-é era Jeff Buckley and dynamic band leader akin to My Morning Jackets Jim James.
