Jon Mueller's Afterlife Cartoons with Andrew Fitzpatrick Opening
On Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 7:00pm, Arts + Literature Laboratory welcomes Afterlife Cartoons, a tour of drum songs by Jon Mueller presented to small audiences in safe environments. In these performances, Mueller will use melodic phrases, repetitive patterns, abrupt shifts, and dynamic energy to construct abstract narratives of sound that are felt rather than told. Mueller will be joined in Madison by classically trained musician Barry Paul Clark (bassist in Field Report, Tontine Ensemble, Lady Cannon, Argopelter, Tony Catania Trio). Andrew Fitzpatrick (Noxroy, Bon Iver, All Tiny Creatures, Volcano Choir) will open.
Due to the pandemic, seating will be limited and advance tickets are recommended. Tickets are $10 online in advance ($8 for students and ALL Members) at Brown Paper Tickets, or $15 at the door for everyone. Advance sales end 1 hour before the concert. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Please review ALL's COVID-19 policy before purchasing your ticket and again before attending the event, as it may be modified based on current public health recommendations.
