Clean Buildings for Washington: What you need to know.

The new Clean Buildings for Washington Act requires most existing buildings larger than 50,000 SF to meet energy efficiency standards. The State will send letters to qualifying building owners as soon as July 2021. We also expect this will lead to confusion - and possibly concern - among some building owners.

The AEC industry will be a strong partner in helping building owners in our state to assess, document, and upgrade buildings to meet the new requirements. And in the process, we'll also help building owners reduce operating costs, pollution, and carbon emissions.
