VETERANS OF COLOR | THE SILENT KILLER - GIBFF Saturday Matinee II
"Veterans of Color" explores the lives and experiences of African American servicemen and women who served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. The film provides a unique view into a seldom-told to show more aspects of American history, and into the lives of many of our country's veterans. Featuring excerpts of 31 oral histories from black veterans who were interviewed by the film's producer, Dr. Bernard Watson, this film brings the triumphs and tragedies of black veterans who fought for our country even when our country would not fight for black people.

THE SILENT KILLER is a documentary short that focuses on the alarming rate of Black men affected by prostate cancer. Featuring interviews with former Gary Mayor Rudolph Clay, who succumbed to the disease in 2013.
