Colorblind: Rethinking Race Dir Barbara Allen | USA 2013 | Director in Attendance Colorblind takes an honest look at the effects of racism in America. The goal of the documentary is to bring clarity to the topic by presenting the modern expression of racism, exploring how these negative beliefs are unwittingly fosteredand recognizingthe people and projects that address racial inequality and promote racial healing. For the past decade, Chicago has been enduring a violence epidemic, with a death toll in the thousands and casualties mirroring the losses experienced by the US army in Iraq war over the same period. Allowing its subjects to take centre stage and tell their stories in their own words, Robson-Scott's film, CHIRAQ is unflinchingly honest in its depiction of life on the streets of one of the most dangerous cities in America.
