EPAD Platform - Wednesday 16th December 2020
EPAD Platform is our new online initiative that gives Edinburghs professional independent performing arts practitioners a place to share their work with peers from the citys performing arts community. It will take place on Zoom.
The first EPAD Platform will take place on Wednesday 16th December 2020 from 1.00pm to 2.30pm.
We will have two 30 minute presentations by two Edinburgh companies.
Fin Ross Russell from Island Life Productions will share the story of its first year as a company. If you want to start your own arts company but are not sure what that entails or are keen to hear the experiences of others before diving into the unknown, this presentation will explore the realities of setting up a new organisation in Edinburgh's current arts climate. It will include a range of subjects including legal jargon, practicalities, funding systems and how to build for the future.
Citadel Arts Group Artistic Director Liz Hare and playwright Vince Maguire will share the experience of their work with older people in Croft an Righ Sheltered Housing in Abbeyhill. The presentation will include an extract from the audio play, 'Home Comfort' by Vince Maguire that was developed with the tenants' stories and participation and performed by them. VInce and Liz will discuss Citadel's continuing engagement with this group.
Both Fin and Liz and Vince welcome questions sent in advance and there will be time for Q&A on the day.
