Atlas Riffed: A Live-Riffing Of Atlas Shrugged: Part 1
In the style of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and RiffTrax, comedians Josh Bolotsky and
Matthew Filipowicz will spend one memorable evening performing Atlas Riffed, a live,
secondbysecond running commentary on the notoriously awful film adaptation of Ayn
Rand's libertarian screed: Atlas Shrugged: Part One. We're going to make one of the
worst films ever made actually fun to watch and slowly but surely advance our covert
cryptocommunist agenda on an unsuspecting public.
Laughing Liberally, which is presenting tonight's edition of Atlas Riffed, is a comedy
show which uses humor and laughter to spread understanding of liberal ideas and advance
progressive values. Showcasing the brightest progressive comedians from all across the
nation in New York City and on a national tour, Laughing Liberally will save democracy
one laugh at a time.
Josh Bolotsky is New Media Director for The Other 98%, a netrootspowered social
justice movement waging war on American plutocracy.
Matthew Filipowicz is a comedian, cartoonist, satirist and the host of The Matthew
Filipowicz Show, a progressive political talk show. His work has been featured on Ain't It
Cool News, the Atlantic, the BBC, CNN, HBO, the Huffington Post, the London Times, the
Nation, the New York Times, NPR, PBS, the Wall Street Journal and many other outlets
