New Ark Chorale spring concert "Spirit, Soul, Peace"
Out of an abundance of caution, this concert has been cancelled.
(This program may well be scheduled in the spring of 2021.)
New Ark Chorale, Dr Michael Larkin conducting, presents a spring concert, "Spirit, Soul, Peace".
Featured are two works by Ola Gjeilo, "Dark Night of the Soul" and "Luminous Night of the Soul".
(These have only been sung once in the state of Delaware.)
Complimenting those two pieces of music are works by William L Dawson, John Rutter ("I Will Sing with the Spirit"), Michael Larkin, Daniel Elder ("Ballad to the Moon"), Randall Thompson ("Choose Something Like a Star"), Morton Lauridsen ("Sure on this Shining Night") and others.
All sung in the resonant sanctuary of St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 701 S. College Ave, Newark, DE 19713.
There is ample adjacent free parking.
The sanctuary is handicapped accessible.
Reception (follows / would have followed) this Saturday April 4th afternoon (3:00 p.m.) concert.
