CityDance Summer Intensive Audition on Saturday, March 21st 2020
CityDance is bringing professional artists from around the US and the world to Rockville, Maryland this summer! Train with artists from Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH), Koresh Dance and other world-renowned companies this summer, as well as CityDance faculty including Choreographer-in-Residence, Robert J. Priore and CityDance Conservatorys Ballet Master, Stanislav Issaev.
CityDance Summer Intensives prepare young dancers for 21st century careers with specialized professional training, rich performance opportunities, and strong connections to the professional dance world.
Intensives are ideal for young dancers, ages 8-20, interested in a challenging exploration of classical and contemporary training with daily classes in ballet, pointe, modern, contemporary, jazz, and world dance. Other highlights include choreography workshops, partnering, and an exciting culminating performance showcase at the end of each two week intensive segment.
There are 6-8 weeks of intensives scheduled for the summer of 2020 and you can choose any of the two week segments. You can tailor your summer training to participate in one or all of our summer programs from June through August. One week experiences are also available.
Audition Classes on Saturday, March 21st, will be taught by the dynamic teachers of DTH and CityDance Ballet Master Stanislav Issaev and CityDance Teaching Faculty Members Yeonjin Cho and Diana Amalfitano.

Ages 8-12 y.o.:
Check-in 8:30-9:00am
Ballet 9:00-10:30am
Pointe 10:30-11:00am
Modern Contemporary 11:00-12pm
Ages 12-14 y.o. (with 2 years of pointe experience + Petite Conservatory Students):
Check-in 10:00-10:30am
Ballet 10:30am-12:00pm
Pointe 12:00-1:00pm
Modern Contemporary 1:00-2:00pm
Ages 14+ (Contemporary focus):
Check-in 11:30am -12:00pm
Ballet 12:00-1:30pm
Pointe 1:30-2:30pm
Contemporary 3:30-5:00pm
Ages 14+ (Ballet focus):
Check-in 12:30pm -1:00pm
Ballet 1:00-2:30pm
Pointe 2:30-3:30pm
Contemporary 3:30-5:00pm
Please register here with $25 audition fee. Online registration is encouraged and will make the audition process more seamless, however the doors will be open for walk-in students ages 8-14 y.o. on March 21st. Please bring a headshot and a full body shot. These do not need to be professionally-done photos. Photos taken on phones are more than welcome!

DRESS CODE
Female: leotard, ballet tights, ballet shoes with elastic straps and/or pointe for ballet and pointe class. Leotard, black dance shorts/leggings and bare feet for contemporary.
Male: fitted black or white t-shirt or tank, men's tights, black or white ballet shoes
