New Year's Eve with DAIKAIJU!

Daikaijus kaiju-themed surf rock takes the genre to new heights with their unrelenting antics and unpredictable stage performances. Part surf rock, part action movie, Daikaiju keeps audiences on their toes throughout the entire performance.

Known for being secretive, Daikaiju refuses to speak on stage and instead communicates using hand signals. The media have tried to pin them down for years without success due to the bands insatiable commitment to their characters.

Originally from Huntsville, Alabama and now based out of Houston, Daikaiju consists of Secret-man on guitar, Blast-man on drums, Ace-man playing guitar and Battle-man on bass.

The similarity of the band's sound to Man or Astro Man? has fueled some unconfirmed speculation that the band may contain members of that band. The band's only response to this speculation, a denial (though characteristically vague), appeared in an August 2012 interview, which is one of the very few responses the band has ever offered to the media:

"Daikaiju have many member of man: secret-man, rock-man, hit-man, and mobile-man!!! Daikaiju also like taste of astro-man but have preference of lizard-man... or aqua-man!!!"

Daikaiju has toured extensively, including the Far East, visiting China, South Korea and Japan. The band's visit to Japan in particular was highly anticipated by fans. Daikaiju tied Public Image Ltd. as the "Best Show by a Foreign Touring Act" in Time Out Beijing's "Years End Roundup: The Best of Beijing Music for 2013."
