NWCS presents our popular annual holiday concert, opening with Ottorino Respighi's beautiful, rarely heard Christmas cantata, Lauda per la Nativita del Signore ("Laud to the Nativity") -- a hymn of praise to the birth of Jesus, as told from the point of view of the shepherds, the anges and Mary. With stellar soloists and instrumentalists from the Chicago area, our multi-faceted program aslo features a joyful variety of anthems, carols and popular songs for Christmas.
