Creating the Magic

The rising stars of CityDance Conservatory, Petite Conservatory, Pre-Conservatory and Select Plus students enchant audiences with their annual winter showcase in an exciting program of ballet, jazz, contemporary, and world dance.

Creating the Magic features choreography by CityDance faculty, Ignite artists and guests. You will see a new Conservatory classical repertory "Gioconda" and variations from famous ballets staged by Stanislav Issaev, CityDance Conservatory Ballet Master. Conservatory Seniors will perform their solos and group pieces created by talented Teaching faculty artists: Diana Amalfitano, Therese Gahl, Kaitlin Madzelan, Caroline Rocher, Keith Thomas, Monique Walker, Ignite Artist Sarah J. Ewing and Pola Nirenska award-winning Choreographer-in-Residence Robert J. Priore. Guest artist works include Koresh Dance Company and Shaun Boyle D'Arcy from CityDance International Summer Intensive. Conservatory Dancers will also share a new work that they have created with Vladimir Angelov from ICONS. This Creating the Magic concert includes excerpts from international guest artist Alex Neoral's work Por Partes and Quase Uma.
