Building Employee Engagement

Building Company Culture and Employee Engagement is an ESC workshop for new supervisors and leaders in the non-profit environment. The workshop will be presented by ESC consultant Daniel Janssen.

You will learn how to support a modern workforce that seeks transparency, connection and recognition. The course will explore elevating employees engagement and productivity across your organization using tools that promote feedback, collaboration and peer recognition.

- Building a succession plan
- Developing a talent management strategy
- Encouraging the power of conversation within the culture of your organization.

All of the topics covered will identify a road map to:

- Increasing job satisfaction
- Reducing employee turnover

Daniel Janssen is an accomplished international human resource executive with over 30 years of experience in the design, implementation and management of global human resource programs. He is an expert in recruitment and talent management, compensation, entitlements and rewards, performance management, policy development and legal compliance.

Daniel retired as the director of human resources for Ipas, a nonprofit, $60 million international reproductive health organization. Prior to that, he was the head of recruitment for the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, a 190-nation UN agency with over 500 staff members. He also worked for the Peace Corps and various U.S. government agencies.

Daniel has a B.A. in political science and history from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. He also attended graduate school at the Maxwell School for Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, studying international and public administration. In addition, he completed the executive development program at George Washington University.
