Xmas Blues

This will be a fun-filled holiday show with famed fiddler and blues shouter Suzy Thompson, riveting vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Meredith Axelrod, and resonator guitar/ukulele goddess Del Rey, featuring blues songs about Christmas and wintry weather vintage gems like Christmas In Jail, Santa Claus Blues and Cold Morning Shout. These three blues and roots music divas love to play music together, and youre invited to join the party!

About Suzy, Meredith and Del:

Suzy Thompson (Berkeley) is a powerful blues shouter in the style of Bessie Smith, a master of blues fiddle, and a highly respected fingerpicking guitarist. Meredith Axelrods (San Francisco) singing is a riveting combination of demure and passionate; shes also a powerful guitarist. Del Rey (Seattle) gets a whole orchestra into her resonator guitar and ukulele and has a fashion sense that would make Minnie Pearl smile. These women have worked as side musicians for the likes of Maria Muldaur, Jim Kweskin, Dan Hicks and Dave Alvin; as a trio they are a force to be reckoned with!
